Glenn Greenwald on U.S. Govt anthrax scientist's suicide

August 2, 2008 - 1:37am

"Glenn Greewald's article in Salon about Bruce E. Ivins' suicide is fascinating. Ivins was a senior biodefense researcher at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) in Fort Detrick, Maryland. He committed suicide in July shortly before the FBI was going to indict him for his alleged role in the 2001 anthrax attacks."

Closing the browser, I flip on a podcast for some easy-learning and try to decide whether the day needs facing....

Microsoft takes back the music

April 25, 2008 - 11:41am

The Inquirer :
MICROSOFT JUST SCREWED its music customers.
In doing so, it proved what we have said all along, if you buy DRM'd anything, you are an idiot, Piracy is the Better Choice(R)(TM)(C).
The firm has arbitrarily decided that all the music you bought from it is now worthless because it can't be bothered to live up to its end of the bargain. It goes something like this, MS came up with a DRM infection and attached it to its music downloads. When the Zune came out, it decided it wanted a bigger piece of the pie, so it cut out all its partners.
